There's almost 5,000 devices in that list. Trying to untick all of the Smartphone ones is a losing battle
The advanced rendition support topic is covering a very, very, narrow use case where a handful of people just don't want their content visible on a phone. The reality is the native Android viewer is quite capable of displaying tablet-sized folios on phones. The content will scale down, and with our pinch and zoom support readers can zoom in to read the content. This is not an unusual experience for phone users either, it exists in many other apps as well.
For the vast majority of our customers the correct approach (if you don't want to make a custom phone-sized design) is to publish one folio for tablets on Android that is then displayed on both tablets and phones, and to ignore the advanced rendition feature completely.
