I trust you've done other color jobs with that dye sub printer? If you have, you probably calibrated the system or use a standard RIP + PRINT solution following the user's guide. Some questions. How is the color defined in the file? What working color space are you using? What color garment are you printing on? Is the heat setting correct? I recommend you setup test swatches of the colors in the artwork. If it's just Brown, setup 10 swatches, each set at 10% intervals ( i.e., 10%; 20%; 30%; 40% 50%; etc. ). Then, see which one comes closest to a good, known value of that Brown. You could then do ten more at -02% each and ten at +02% each. Compare those with the known good value. This is a quick way to nail the color, but requires some testing through the entire print cycle. When you're in a bind and need something fast, this is a good way to calibrate for a specific color. Later on, plan to do a full industrial grade calibration.
