Can't delete from disk- NTFS the issue?

Hello- newbie here.   Thanks in advance to the "sharers of knowledge" on the forum.

When I try to delete an image out of LR and off disk. I'm getting that error message "The file named “x” could not be moved to the Trash folder"

I have searched forums, and found similar issues, but nothing with my config

• LR 5.5
• Mac OSX (10.7.5)
• using an external drive that's formatted as NTFS.

I'm running Paragon's NTFS utility, and have had no issues reading, writing and deleting via Finder. 

I know this issue spans LR and OSX and the Paragon utility...still, hoping someone here has an answer.

PS:   I do get this message when I try to move file to trash using Finder. "Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this."

Once I enter password, I'm successful.  Maybe this is getting in way of LR doing it?   If so, not sure how to fix.  Thanks again again.
