以前利用されていたのはAdobe Readerの9以前などでしょうか。Adobe Reader XIで試してみましたが、確かにドラッグ＆ドロップでは保存できないですね。 Adobe ReaderはX以前とそれ以降でレイアウトや機能が大きく変わっていますので、おそらくその影響かと思います。
