Thanks for the additional information. It does sound like there's a fair amount of complexity in your .pub file with all of those photographs. I imagine that this project is mission-critical with the end of the school year approaching. Here are a couple of options that should help you get the job done:

• Since you're on Windows, you can try installing and using the CreatePDF Desktop printer: Install and configure Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer.
• Try the 30-day free trial of Acrobat Pro (absolutely no commitment to buy), and use that to create the PDF.
