Am am rebuilding a machine here and, of course, am having issues getting Adobe installed and licensed correctly.
We currently own:
Creative Suite 3 Design Standard (full)
Creative Suite 5 Design Premium (Upgrade)
Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium (Upgrade)
I have installed Creative Suite 3 Design Standard on the machine correctly and all that fine, software works good. But when I attempt to upgrade from Creative Suite 3 Design Standard to Creative Suite 5 Design Premium, I get the message that "The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product can not be found on this computer". Yet, on the side of the box, it clearly states that CS3 Design Standard is one of the versions you can upgrade from.
If I try to manually input the license key for Creative Suite 3 Design Standard into the Creative Suite 5 Design Premium installer, it says that "The serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another." even though the license key worked fine for installing CS3.
Am I missing something so obvious I should be ashamed for missing it? Or is there something wrong with the Adobe stuff..
