We have shot on BMCC 2.5K 23.976 fps in RAW format. Now, below is the workflow I plan to adopt for cutting a 2:30 minute trailer:
1. Identify the best takes from the shoot.
2. Ship the DNG folders to Color Grader for CC
3. Get the corrected footage back
4. Drop the footage in my Media pool.
5. Cut trailer.
6. Export to QT.
Questions:
A. In step 2, can I rename the shot folder to a more meaningful name. For example, Protag_Priest_Scene_14. This will help me locate the clips while editing.
B. Is this the right workflow? Alternative workflow is, create a trailer first in Premiere and send exported xml file for CC and create xml from DaVinci for effects and titles.
Any advice is deeply appreciated. Don
