Is there a way to password protect select form fields while leaving others unprotected?

I use self grading interactive PDFs in my classroom but to get that "self grading" feature I have to use a form field like a check-box and then assign it a point value. I then use a text field that calculates all the check-box values. What I want to do is password protect those check-boxes while leaving the form fields used to reply to a question unprotected. Is there to hide the check-boxes?
