I should update my tutorial as it was made with an older version of Flash where it could even be used to convert video to FLV. Progressive download use to be an option. It basically means that video will download from a website from the beginning to end.
With Flash CS6, you can choose
* File > Import >Import To Stage (or File > Import > Import video) and browse to your file.
* Then under Where is your video, just choose Load external video with playback component.
If you’re using Director 12, I’d suggest you choose Actionscript 2 for your Flash file. Older versions of Director did not support AS3. Now, the latest version of Flash does not support AS2.
