group layers without loose al the sub-leyers

Hi, in illustrator there's a way to group layers without loose al the sub-leyers inside? For example: i've got a layers hand, inside there is one layer for finger (with all the different path); I need to group whiteout loose the distinction between each finger, to move together without click on the main level palette everytime. Thank's a lot
