Deleted Edge text still rendering in Muse?

Hello All,

I built an animation in Edge Animate, then published it to .oam and placed in Muse. I didn't like some text i had placed using the Edge text tool, so I deleted the placed animation from Muse, then went back to Edge and deleted the text. Then I published a new .oam to a different location with a different file name, and placed in Muse. The text is still showing up. Things I have done to troubleshoot this:

  • Closed Edge and Muse; cleared clipboard; Restarted. Problem still occurs.
  • Deleted all .oam and .html files associated with the original version of the animation. Restarted both programs. Previewed in browser from Edge; preview looks like I want it to look. Command-D to Muse; still has the old text showing.
  • Deleted placed file from Muse; checked assets panel. No file showing.
  • Started a new site, placed file in new site; still showing the old text.
  • Contacted Edge technical support. They shared my screen, watched me recreate the problem with a completely different Edge file placed in a new Muse site. Said I was doing everything right, and Edge is functioning correctly. (I did notice that the file name in Edge still had an asterisk even though I saved, but the tech support guy said that couldn't be right - because it was showing up correctly in browser preview. So I guess that was just a little glitch...?)
  • Chatted with Muse tech support. No solution.

My next step is to reinstall Muse, which I had hoped to avoid (time-consuming, and I am on a roll with this design...). I will report back but wondered if anyone else has seen this problem.

I am working on a brand-new iMac, no other problems showing up anywhere, so I'm pretty sure it's not my machine.

Thanks for listening, if nothing else!

Jayne
