Well the big issue now appears to be the problem of not being able to create legitimate child pages. That is new, and the ******* pages are a real problem. Because child pages that are templates themselves don't appear to update when you save the template they were built from. Or at any rate the ones that I ended up with before I realized what was happening didn't. None of the links that I added to the original template updated.
Of course most of them were image map links, which are probably different. I suspect that I'm going to have to copy/paste that image map to all of the relevant pages once I have all the pages built and linked to it. That, at least seems to work, and I went through that drill often enough with GoLive to just consider it a nuisance. Particularly if I only have to do it once. Once these pages are built the only changes I can see making to them directly is editing text or swapping out the main image. But if the sidebars wont update when I make changes elsewhere in that collection it's a real issue.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with the child pages? Why doesn't save As from a template create a proper child page any more? I have probably run some sort of an update since the site was built a year ago. The version which I have now is 12.0 Build 5861. Were there any known issues with that one, and is there a fix which will run on Snow Leopard?
